Bienvenue à l'école primaire de Camberwell! It is a privilege to welcome you to our unique bilingual partial immersion school where we celebrate an inclusive community bringing nationalities and cultures from around the world to raise inquisitive bilingual learners. Our goal is to build meaningful partnerships with families and our community, to raise engaged global citizens who have the confidence to make a positive difference in the lives of others, where students live our values!

We look forward to you joining our school community where we are committed to providing every child with a love of learning and equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to flourish as healthy, engaged members of society. The education that we provide, where students persevere learning through another language, ensures that your children will develop exceptional learner capabilities. Our History

Established in 1867, Camberwell Primary School has a long and proud history of serving the local community. From its early days as a small local school, it has grown into a vibrant educational institution renowned for its innovative programs and strong community spirit.

Over the decades, CPS has adapted to the changing needs of its students and society, consistently striving for excellence in education. The introduction of the French-English bilingual education in 1991 marked a significant milestone, further enriching our educational offering and solidifying our reputation as a forward-thinking school.

À l'école primaire de Camberwell, we are proud of our highly qualified, passionate, and dedicated team of educators and support staff. Our school culture has a strong foundation of high expectations where every member of our team considers the duty of care of our students a priority, where everyone lives our values and is a constant role model for all of our students and families.

Our bilingual education program is delivered by experienced native and near-native French-speaking teachers from diverse cultural backgrounds around the world, alongside highly proficient English-speaking teachers. Together, they work collaboratively to ensure a seamless and effective immersion experience. All staff members are committed to ongoing professional development to stay at the forefront of educational best practices.
